Let me start off by saying I absolutely love the western slope of Colorado. Maybe it was just perfect timing because the weather was perfect or maybe it was the breathtaking scenery but it is an amazing place. We drove all over the western slope from Grand Junction to Telluride and even braved the drive down Million Dollar Highway (seriously scary). We took our time driving and stopped to bask in the splendor of our surroundings and of course nosh at some local eateries, so here are the deets.

| unfortunately this pic doesn't do justice of the height and depth of where I am standing |
These are from a full day of hiking and this was taken at Box Canon Falls. Not a big fan of heights so this was intense but it led into a really cool tunnel that let to another hiking trail.
The next pic is the Million Dollar Highway I mentioned at the beginning of the post. Ummm just take a look at the edge of that road... no rails just eminent death. So yeah I was terrified especially because I was in the passenger side looking off the cliff. I took the photo when we were driving back (which was much less anxiety ridden)

Leaving you with a beautiful sunset over Mountain Village. There was a yoga festival in Telluride/Mountain Village that I would have loved to attend but there's always next year and this Florida girl is already yearning for another trip (or move) to the mountains! ;)
