So as much as I adore these Jimmy Choos and I really love the look of the Zara asymmetric shoe (I mean really who doesn't think these are super SEXY?!) I thought I would get a little crafty and combine the two aspects that I love as well as save a couple bucks while I was at it. Well.... about $600 actually. So I grabbed an old pair of shoes that have been hanging out in my closet for about 6 years and decided to get to it!
Here's what you need: Scissors Large and small, Hot glue gun, piece of chalk, and a pair of shoes!
Draw a couple of lines where you would like to cut the shoes (if your turning your shoes into ZaraChoos) Otherwise skip down to the fun sparkly part!! Get to Cutting!!
I took a black marker and colored the sides so they wouldn't show thru as white or look unfinished
So this is what they looked like... still a little too 'witchy' for my taste
I just grabbed the scissors and chopped the end off. I didn't exactly think it thru before attempting this. What you need to do is make sure you keep the excess leather from the side of the shoe and cut it so it fits the hole at the toe. Hot glue that baby on and let it dry. Use the small scissors to trim up any excess leather hanging off. NOW comes the fun part!!
Mod Podge the whole shoe and dump glitter all over it!! Let it dry and repeat process until you have the desired effect on the shoe! (Make sure you put either wax paper, newspaper or something under the shoe before you do this so clean-up is quicker and easier)
Let it dry and you can put some sort of sealant on them or just leave a trail of 'pixie dust' where ever you go... whatever makes you Happy! :)
Now any suggestions on how to style them??

And BTW: Im a mommy too and I love that you think outside of the box and have your own personal style! Some other moms at my girls school look at me a little funny sometimes and their kids ask some of the funniest questions: 'are you rich because your shoes are really glittery?' or my fave 'my mommy says your feet probably hurt because you always wear such high shoes?'
LOVE THAT YOUR A STYLISH BEAUTIFUL CONFIDENT MOMMY!!
Such a great idea. I love it! xx
